A couple months ago I was working at Ambulante, a mexican film tour, and I had the chance to see a Margarita Jimeno's docummentary: Gogol Bordello non-stop. I didn't even know what Gogol Bordello was before I saw it, but in the very moment I heard the first chords of the songs, I felt like the first time you see the love of your life. Sort of a shiver, a sense of completion, the feeling that I had found something I've always been looking for... I've never felt that for a band before.
And I litterally fell in love for Gogol Bordello! your music filled my life in a way I still can't explain. In only two months, I've downloaded your whole discography (it's not very easy to find it in music stores here in Mexico) and I love each and everyone of your songs.
Your music has been with me everyday since I knew the band, whenever I'm sad, or angry, or happy, Gogol Bordello has the perfect song for me. The sound of Sergey's violin, of Yuri's accordeon, of Eugene's guitar and voice... it touches me in a way I just can't describe. When I found out you guys were coming to Mexico, I was completely happy, I already got my tickets for the Vive Latino festival, and I'm really looking forward to finally listen to those songs who have completed my life so perfectly played alive.
I just can say THANK YOU for doing what you do, for making such wonderful music, for having become my favorite band ever in the second I knew you, and for coming to my country. I'm a former journalist, and I have already written and published a couple articles about you; I also have two radio shows via internet where I play your music all the time, I'm trying to make more people in Mexico get to know the band so you come and give a big concert one of these days, cause the Vive Latino won't give enough time for us, your fans, to listen to all of your awesome songs.
Anyway, I've never written a fan letter before (I think I've never been nobody's fan enough to do it) and I'm afraid I'm being corny here XD but I really wanted to tell you how much your music has meant to me.
Thank you for everything. I'll see you at the Vive Latino!!! Cheers!
